Minerals

Mining Commission publishes indicative prices for 26 October

The Mining Commission's indicative price list put gold at TSh 309,334.23 per gram on the mineral market and copper at TSh 34.40 per gram. The Commission says the list supports transparency and fair trading; actual prices depend on quality and the terms of each sale.

Why it matters: Stockpile and offtake listings on Fursa365 reference the Commission's indicative prices, then settle on the buyer's own assay.

Government to probe who really owns mining service firms

Minister for Minerals Anthony Mavunde said the Ministry, the Mining Commission, BRELA and TRA will review who actually controls companies supplying the mining sector, after reports of local shareholders holding the required 20% on paper only. The Commission collected TZS 411 billion in July to September 2026.

Why it matters: Fursa365 screening asks for beneficial owners on every mining listing, and nominee arrangements must be disclosed. This review makes that check essential.

Investment

TISEZA registers 250 projects in Q2 2026

TISEZA's Q2 2026 bulletin recorded 243 projects worth USD 1.88 billion under the General Investment Scheme, with 33,805 projected jobs, plus 7 EPZ and SEZ projects worth about USD 3.38 billion. Manufacturing led by project count.

Why it matters: New manufacturing and agro-processing projects need warehouses, trucks, plant and land: the idle assets Fursa365 matches.

Data protection

Data protection regulator begins on-site compliance inspections

The Personal Data Protection Commission announced inspections from 31 August 2026, checking registration, Data Protection Officers, how personal data is collected, stored and protected, and transfers abroad.

Why it matters: Any business that collects customer data, including asset owners and brokers using Fursa365, should confirm its own PDPC registration.

Tips

Eight habits of owners who close

Give every offer an end date

Offers with a date close cleanly and attract buyers who are ready now. Undated offers go stale and invite haggling.

Never pay to be verified by phone

Fursa365 staff never ask for deposits or fees to personal numbers. Fees are invoiced in writing by Zatra Consultants Limited.

Keep the evidence ready before you list

Title, registration card, licence printout and photos taken this month. Screening is fast when the file is complete.

Pair the asset with an operator

An idle truck earns more with a licensed driver attached. Pairing removes the hirer's biggest worry.

Get your own valuation

A counterparty's valuation is a starting point, not a basis to sign. Instruct an independent valuer from the panel.

Check the registry, not the photocopy

Run the title, BRELA and Mining Commission portal searches yourself, dated within the week you sign.

Sign the NDNCA before names move

Non-disclosure and non-circumvention protect both sides and the introducer, and stop side deals.

Mainland and Zanzibar are separate

Registration, tax and many licences differ. A Mainland approval does not cover Zanzibar.
